cityonfiredotcom:
Deadline reports that the Sylvester Stallone-starring buddy cop action movie “Bullet to the Head” has been given a release date of February 1, 2013. That’s a delay of almost a year from its original April date. A Stallone action movie we thought we would see months before “Expendables 2” now won’t hit theaters until next year! Seeing as how it’s Stallone’s first collaboration with director Walter Hill (“The Warriors,” “48 Hrs.”), though, it should be worth the wait: http://www.cityonfire.com/kramer-no-longer-interested-in-looking-at-stallones-headshots/

“Pipebomb On Lansdowne” by Dropkick Murphys and Agnostic Front
WARNING: This song contains sexist, homophobic, violent, altogether inexcusable language. If this offends you, I understand—just don’t click “play.” For the rest of you: Enjoy.
From the Unity 7” these two amazing bands made together. I warn you, this song is offensive. But I live in a college town and there are far too many nights when this record just makes sense. When too many drunk frat boys hoot racial slurs at my girlfriend, or too many girls drag their high heels on the sidewalk (for chrissakes, learn to walk in heels or don’t wear them) and pretend to be drunk to get attention. When the semester is over and all those rich kids headed back home to the suburbs casually throw their flatscreen TVs into the dumpster while good men die in senseless wars and children starve in countries most of these spoiled American kids can’t find on a map. When it feels like the world is overrun with dumbasses, and worst of all, you’re afraid you might be one of them. There are times when it’s perfectly normal to feel like a cranky misanthrope. Here’s a song for one of those nights.

This is Flatfoot 56. When I put on shuffle on my iPod today, they came on several times, so I felt like I have to share them with you (if you don’t know them yet). If you like the Dropkick Murphys sound, you might as well like Flatfoot 56.
I totally recommend the song “Black Thorn”, “Chinatown Jail Break” or, if you like slower songs, “Shiny Eyes”.
There must be more Folk Punk on tumblr!
